Aluminium is light weight metal which can leach when it gets hot or comes in contact with anything acidic. Aluminium exposure has been linked to Alzheimer’s disease. To safeguard the liquids inside aluminium bottles they have to be lined.

Common materials used to line these aluminium bottles include plastic resins or epoxy, some of which can leach BPA and other chemicals or can even get scratched, cracked or damaged exposing the aluminium underneath.

The stainless steel used to produce a PUNC bottle is completely non toxic and BPA-free. PUNC bottles do not contain phthalates, lead and other harmful substances. They can be filled with acidic drinks and do not retain or effect flavour.

PUNC bottles use acrylic paint which contains no toxins or lead.

Yes. Acidic drinks will not corrode or damage the high-quality stainless steel.

Absolutely. PUNC is food-grade stainless steel the same material used in the dairy and food industry.

Yes. In fact the PUNC insulated 750ml bottle is perfect to hold a bottle of wine.

No. The force of the liquid expanding as it freezes can cause your bottle to become deformed and will also void the one-year warranty manufacturer defects.

Some do yes it depends on which bottle style you’re using the original water bottle is a single walled bottle and can sweat however the PUNC insulated has a double-walled construction with amazing insulating properties. Because they’re insulated, these bottles will not have condensation build-up on the outside, regardless of what’s inside them or the temperature outside.

All PUNC bottles are made using 304 stainless steel which is a durable metal and they are very strong but they are not dent-proof. So it can get a dent if you drop it.

You can put the PUNC single walled water bottles on a fire or a stove as long as you take the lid off. But please note this may damage the paint.

This is not an option with PUNC insulated bottles as heating it this way will damage the bottle and voids the warranty.

PUNC bottles and lids are best when cleaned with warm, soapy water and allowed to dry with the lid removed. A bottle brush may be used to scrub away any residue left behind from what you put in it. If you are running low on soap, you can also clean with vinegar and baking soda.

We must insist you do not clean your PUNC insulated bottle in the dishwasher; it will null and void our guarantee and potentially damage the vacuum seal. The PUNC insulated bottle lid is rinsed rather than a soak. Please don’t intentionally submerge the cap under water for a long period of time– this could result in water being trapped inside.

Make a paste using a little bit of vinegar and baking soda and give it a good scrub. The baking soda is an all-natural abrasive that will help get the stains out. You can also soak it overnight in a mixture of about a quarter cup of vinegar and 3-4 tablespoons of baking soda.

Yes. Except for Stainless steel finished bottles. The colours of any PUNC bottle can become marked from your cup holder, bike cage, rubbing against your car keys in the bottom of your bag and so on. View it as character and these marks are badges of honour on your PUNC bottle.

Yes absolutely. All PUNC lids have a one-year warranty against manufacturer’s defects. Please send us your damaged goods along with your return address and we’ll replace them free of charge. If you have questions or comments, email us at [email protected]

Some of our lids are not designed to be leak-proof and contain a vent. If you want a leak-proof lid you’ll need to order a loop or other accessory cap for your bottle. But if the lid is faulty yes we will replace it.

Under normal use, paint on a PUNC bottle will not flake or chip off. Sure, if you drop your bottle or jam it into a metal water bottle cage, you can scratch it. It’s also possible to scrape off the paint if you try hard enough, just like any other painted surface. But if your paint is flaking or peeling off that a different matter and in that case it’s covered by our warranty and we’ll replace it at no cost to you.
